Hey guys! This week we talk a little about film but we also talk about sport (as the British call it. This isn’t actually referenced at all this episode) and what actually goes through a peak athletes brain as they perform basically miracles with their bodies. Football players are basically human car accidents too… FYI…
ALSO!… There’s a new game show that we’re certain will not be on the air in the near future called “The Wall”, a giant plinko styled competition… We get into that a bit…
Which cause us to talk about Reality TV and how it may be a good thing if applied to something like NASA.
Which leads us to thinking about which famous people will be the first to go be famous in space.
What do you guys think? Is the future of NASA basically VH1? Let us know!
Finally, to Elon Musk, you can go a head and let us know too, what you think about our plan.
Happy December! This week we’re all over the place (typical) and we discuss why Vader is so kill-happy in Episode V as opposed to being docile in Episode IV, hover-boards vs speeder bikes and how we should deal with sports stars.
Let us know what you think and if you want us to discuss anything special, let us know!
Brick Room Listeners, we hope you had a good weekend, especially if you’re one of those lucky people that got a three day weekend. We start this week’s episode talking about words of wisdom. What sayings, that we commonly use today, will be looked back on in future times as being important? Then we move on to time travel and the different types of time travel used in movies and storytelling. Which brings us to Harry Potter and Star Wars. We learn an important lesson in The Brick Room today which is this: Star Wars films are fantasy movies about magic and the Harry Potter films are Science Fiction movies. It’s true. Don’t believe us? You need to listen. Finally, we talk about what makes a person cool and what makes a sport a sport as opposed to just a game. Is there any reason poker is televised on ESPN but Jenga isn’t? Why are soccer and hockey olympic sports but dodgeball isn’t? Get your drink and join us for the discussion.
Do you like horse racing? Do you think it’s exciting? Wait until you hear our ideas for how it can be improved. Also, what’s the deal with Marc’s phone. It’s a piece of junk, that’s the deal. Place your bets, the horse racing podcast is here!
Happy football season. Football is back and so is The Brick Room. We don’t really know anything about football. But that’s ok! We have plenty of other stuff to talk about. How about the Olympics and the nature of sports fandom in general? Ok, so we talk about sports a little bit, but as quasi-interested/uninterested sports fans we certainly have our take. Listen in and hear it.
Do you have complaints about football, soccer, bull riding, and countless other sports that are not being run as well as they could be? Do you sometimes wish you could get the commissioners or the governing bodies of those sports in a room and shake some sense into them? Well, be frustrated no longer because Marc and I are frustrated for you, and we have the answers to fix the current problems that plague almost every professional sport being played today. Don’t be frustrated. Relax, get a beer, and listen to the brick room.
